Message disappears

Message disappears

I have installed mec_as2 on Centos 5.2 Linux with VNC.
It is running the whole time, i start and stop it with the script from the thead "Pseudo multi-local mec-as2 on linux".

This morning I tried to send a file, first time with the Menu "send file" of the gui, second time I copy the file into the outbox folder.

But both from these files disappear from disk, in the log file, there is no error logged, but both files are logged as encrypted, but they were never sent!

After restarting mec_as2 everything went well.

It was the second time, i had this situation. But I was never able the reproduce it, it happens only after a while...

Did someone has solved this problem once?
Is there a way that mec_as2 brings more information to log?

After Restart,
Message 1225881776892-0 was sent.
I sent allways the same file.

no, we didnt hear about such an issue so far.

Anyway there is no need to use the script "Pseudo multi-local mec-as2 on linux", m-e-c as2 build 25 supports multiple local stations.

Hello Heller

I use mec_as2 on a linux server without terminal.
With that script and VNC i can run it like a service and it will start automatic after system reboot.

Is there an other possibility to run it on a server like a service?

I thought the script starts multiple instances of the program to have multiple local stations, sorry.

Thats true, it can start multiple instances of the program on one local station under vnc.

But it can also start only one station on vnc, and so it can be used for a server without screen...

Hello,
nice to see that my script is used.
I confirm that the "Pseudo multi-local mec-as2 on linux"
can be used :

1) to attach a pseudo terminal to the application (multi-local or not)
2) to separate really local stations (if confidency is needed between locals)

I recommand to stop/start mec-AS2 every day as I think there is some memory leak . (sorry Heller)
I confirm there is some problems when mec-as2 is running for a long time (sometime not so long :>)...).
Maybe it comes from Java ? I though a garbage collector was included ?

For me it looks like the JMS Server is the Problem.
Friday evening I restartet the program and test the communication. Everything works fine.

Today I tried to send a message, but the message is prepared, but not sent.

I need help here, because I am not able to solve the problem myself. I am a php and python programmer, i no nothing from java.

Friday I activated all debugging options from JMS. I append these log records for the part of the sending of the message.
There is also a error message in that log!!!

Can someone expirienced look at this log and find out the problem? I saved the actual situation of the files of mec_as2 and can give you all the log file if you need.

I controlled the ports 16023 and 16434 of JMS. They have not changed since friday.

Would be nice if we can solve that problem...

we have seen in the past that sometimes the jms server (perhaps java programs in common?) is sensitive to network problems (e.g. doubled ip addresses). Are you sure nothing like this happened, could you check this?

No, it is a small inhouse net and we use everywhere fixed ips.
I checked also the log files, ehte is nothing like this.

I gave up to solve the problem, it undersand not enough from java.

Actualy I restart mec_as2 every hour.
Anyway the problem exists from time to time.

I created a work around: I compare the input files to the log of mec_as2. If they did not exist in the log, i resend them automaticly.

I can live with it, but the situation that files disapear is not something to advise mec_as2.

But it seems that this problem exist only, when mec_as2 works in VNC.
