I've been using the MEC AS2 software for few days and I'm struggling with a specific configuration.
One of my trading partner is requesting me to send messages distinguishing them by interface (stock movements, stock balances, shippping conf, etc.).
I was thinking about 2 solutions:
- Use a separate Sender AS2 ID per message type
- Use a specific file name per message type.
Can one of the 2 above (or maybe both) solution can be set up on MEC AS2?

sure, both of these solutions are possible. You could also set the subject to the message type or the content type (e.g. application/orders).

Thanks very much for your reply. Can you please let me know where in the configuration needs to be specified that a message will be sent to a partner with its original filename?

there is no guarantee in AS2 that the original filename could be transported, this is not part of the protocol. Anyway if sender and receiver products support it its possible to use the original filename. m-e-c as2 writes the original filename into a HTTP header.
