Hi, I am looking for any documentation about how scalable MEC AS2 is as a product. I understand that it is an open source product, but is there any published literature on the volumes of messages that it can/can't handle?
We are looking to use MEC AS2 for up to 500 messages an hour. I would like to know if this is even feasible or is a more robust solution is required.
We are experiencing issues and trying to work through them, but its taking effort that may be wasted if we're trying to make the product do more than it is designed for.

before testing the sytem please switch to the actual software release. This is mendelson openesource AS2 1.1 b27.
The number of messages you could send through the system depend on the message size. Anyway 500 messages per hour will be mainly no problem. If you are using a message size of some kB you will be able to transmit some messages per second, but this number depends also on your hardware.
