AS2 concerns

Hi Heller,

My partner wants to get details for the followin thing to configure his AS2 server.

Could you please kind enough to answer following concerns

File Name - can we chane file name to specific format
AS2 ID - already know
EDI ID (If different from AS2 ID)- this is not provided with mendelson AS2, how do we know this.

URL(for Inbound traffic from partner)- Should we submit MDN url for this

Disposition URL - What should submit as disposition url

Every filename is possible, you may use every filename format.

I dont understand this, EDI used a lot of ids? Which id do you mean?

Thats not required, its transmitted in the protocol (only required for async MDN)

The EDI sender and receiver ID's are found in the ISA segment of an X12 interchange, or the UNB segment of an Edifact interchange.

They are determined by agreement of the trading partners. They are not directly related to use of AS2.

The "Disposition URL" is the location to which the other side should send MDN's for messages it receives. I think that normally it would be the same as the URL at which you receive data traffic.

For example:

http: //somedomain.com:8080/as2/HttpReceiver
