MDN header parsing in mendelson

Hello community,

does anybody know how MEC AS2 is processing incoming MDN responses?

I'm facing a situation where all received MDNs are rejected as invalid (and therefore being dropped) because of a missing header field "as2-to". I found a hint that this might be caused by a missing or wrong configured AS2-ID for the sender or receiver. We double checked this with our trading partner.

Our partner upgraded to webMethods 7.1.2 and provided me with the MDN sent by their system.

The only difference we could figure out so far is that the new line character at the end of each line in the header has been removed.

Instead of
HeaderTag1

HeaderTag2

the MDN now looks like
HeaderTag1
HeaderTag2

According to the MDN Response from the webMethods system the AS2-to header element is contained in the response.

It would be interesting to know how the AS2 MDN is processed and why an "invalid" MDN is simply dropped and not stored?

Any hint or help would be highly appreciated.

thx in advance and best regards,
Martin

BTW: mec-as2 is really great!!
