possible bug with date encoding?

Hi.

We're using mendelson server community edition 1.1 b31 with german locale.
when sending a message to our server, parsing the date header of the http request fails. Looking at the headers, mendelson is sending:

date: Do, 27 Mai 2010 09:56:41 MESZ

As of:

http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec3.html#sec3.3.1

This shouldn't be a localized format. Instead GMT should be used in english format.

Can anyone confirm this as a bug?
