Hi all,
we have released the first version of the mendelson opensource OFTP2.
Please visit http://opensource.mendelson-e-c.com for a download of your version.
The download contains a small readme.txt file. All questions or feature requests should be passed to this forum.
Whoever worked with a mendelson communication solution before (like mendelson AS2, mendelson RosettaNet, mendelson CIDX) will be familiar with the user interface.
There exists an easy installer for windows users, all other platforms should install a java runtime and modify the included start script.
Features
========
The mendelson OFPT2 solution allows to compress, sign and encrpt your data. SSL is supported. Setting up your certificates works like in all other mendelson opensource communication solutions with a 3rd party tool like portecle. Please refer to the links section of this page for further information and links.
The server polls directories per partner, sending files manual does work also.
We are looking forward for your comments, any discussion about OFTP2 vs AS2 is welcome, too.
*Thank you for using our software.*

HI all, supports Mendelson OFTP2 ISDN-Connection?
thinks, verena
Verena,
TCP/IP only. Parts of the automotive industry will stop using OFTP over ISDN at the end of this year, see https://forum.odette.org/news/oftp2-pilot-starting-at-volvo-group
Regards
Heller
Hello Heller,
Sorry but only volvo will stop X25 AND ISDN.
X25 will stop in France this year (commercial name : TRANSPAC).
(Renault is the main EOM concerned).
X25 will stop in the world soon too. But ISDN is NOT X25.
Synchrone X25 links are closing, but X25 can be in ISDN, in native through 9600 baud ISDN 'D channel', or incapsuled in the two 64 kbits ISDN 'B channel' .
OFTP over ISDN is widely use in Germany and elsewhere.
What is true is to say that TCP/IP win the battle, and everybody is slightly migrating to OFTP/ENX (IPSEC tunnel in private ENX network) or OFTP2/Internet.
I think it was important to precise.
Regards.
