I have looked at the integrated manual. Most of what I got when unzipping (install_mec_as2_1.0b9.zip)the files was in German -not that easy for me to read. And F1 only gives installation hints.
The program is simple and the menues are easy to use. So that need not be explained.
Much more needed are explanations to basic concepts and how the system works. And as an example: What to do with the encrypted messages received in the Inbox, what kind of encryption do you support? Can this be extended? etcetc

you are right, the documentation is not very detailled in these points.
Is somebody out who volunteers in writing a detailled documentation, best would be in german and english? Please contact us.
You are asking for encryption algorithms m-e-c as2 is supporting. This is 3DES at the moment.
I checked the underlaying crypto API, we will support the following algorithm in the next version:
